Dhaka University Model United Nations Association is proud to announce that the organisation has been nominated for Joy Bangla Youth Award (JBYA) this year.JBYA 2021, the fifth installment of the award, received entries from a total of 700+ youth-led organisations that are silently transforming society and DUMUNA has been shortlisted among the top 31.DUMUNA President Mohammad Ashiqul Islam has attended a two-day programme arranged by the award-organisers where he gained insight on community development and networked with different organisations and stakeholders that will enable DUMUNA to work more extensively in community-building and youth-development throughout the country and create impact in wider sphere.Honourable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was the Chief Guest of the award-giving ceremony, while Sajeeb Wazed, Prime Minister’s ICT Advisor, and Radwan Mujib, Trustee of the Centre for Research & Information (CRI) spoke as Special Guests. This year, DUMUNA has been nominated in ‘Skill and Employment’ category for its vital role in skill-development of the youth. Besides being an organisation that practices Model United Nations, DUMUNA has been developing and empowering the students of University of Dhaka and other students of various educational institutions in different aspects of their personal and professional lives. DUMUNA has received a token of recognition for its dedication and effort in creating a better Bangladesh.
