Dhaka University Model United Nations Association (DUMUNA) productively celebrated the 77th UN Day on October 24, 2022. The Honorable Vice-Chancellor of the University of Dhaka, Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the programme as the chief guest. The honorable panelists of the evening in attendance were Mr. Toufiq Islam Shatil, NDC, Director General of UN Wing, Ministry of Foreign Affairs ; Brigadier General Mohammad Asadullah Minhazul Alam, NDU, PSC, Department of Overseas Operation ; Dr. Md. Moniruzzaman, Communications Strategist and Ex-national Information Officer, United Nations Information Center (UNIC) and as the alumni guest we had Mr. Chowdhury Mujaddid Ahmed, the former president of DUMUNA.After formal speeches of the guests, Fariha Faiyaz Hia, the president of the organization presided over the panel discussion followed by a question-answer session among the distinguished guests and audiences.There was also a cake-cutting ceremony held as a token of celebration, a live quiz competition for the audiences. The presence of respectful alumni along with delegations from institutional MUN clubs glorified the event and its theme: Youth. Solidarity. Peace
